About Field Study
Field Study is a new contemporary dance company based in Portland, Oregon. Rooted in craft and experimentation, it serves as a container for creating original works that balance precision with imagination.
Through performance and film, Field Study invites audiences into immersive, atmospheric worlds; works designed to transport, surprise, and linger long after the performance ends. Cross-disciplinary collaboration, especially with music and sound, is central to the process, deepening the texture and resonance of each piece.
At its core, Field Study nurtures artistic growth, offering dancers a space to explore, refine, and expand their practice within a supportive, process-driven environment.
